If grassroots and access is what we think a bold plan for the World Cup looks like, we (A) didn’t need to wait for a World Cup for that and (B) should probably make going to NT games actually accessible. This is talks about a bold plan. Nothing here looks like a bold plan.

We should be acting by now. Not planning to act.

I don’t see anything in that article that indicates any kind of real bold plan to do that. Or that those funds will be used for charitable and not operational purposes. And we’ve had a decade to do grassroots leading into a World Cup, this didn’t take us by surprise.

I wondered if we would fumble the impact of this World Cup and it seems like we absolutely will.
