The violation of release conditions comes from when he "attempted to take possession of a firearm at a gun store. In doing so, Hartness made a false statement on an ATF background check form, falsely asserting he was not under indictment for a felony offense."
Notably, no charge filed.

I literally do not want a DIME of taxpayer money building a billionaire's stadium until every kid in Illinois has three tasty and nutritious meals, comprehensive health care, a great school, and a safe and secure place to live.

My mom (78 with a history of falls) has been talking about wanting something like that but smartwatches are really bulky on her little bird wrist and the hassle of remembering to keep it charged is a hurdle for her. Also, she wouldn't wear it in the most dangerous place - the shower.

Don't say "it will die in the senate"

Say "I will kill it in the senate"

And then call them. It takes so few calls, comparatively, to make it feel like a wave crashing over them. We need to be the wave, again and again.

*Internal Screaming*

They just released the Spiritual Fitness Guide in August. It's part of the whole H2F overhaul, which has been underway since 2017. The fitness side and mental health section has been making a positive change, per Army stats.

Idea of monthly prayer services in gov't agency is spreading. Labor Department held 1st last week & Sec. Chavez-DeRemer said she was inspired to after attending a Pentagon one. I was only reporter to watch & write about it: publicwitness.wordandway.org/p/department...
Which agency will be next? 5/
Department of Labor Holds First Prayer Service
U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer attended a Pentagon prayer service. That inspired her to start her own monthly prayer service.

I can't have epi - I hyperreact. One of my lido+epi failures involved my dentist smacking my cheeks and neck in a desperate attempt to get circulation back before calling 911. (The smacking and vigorous rubbing did work after a while but my no-touch autistic self was very unhappy.)

From talking with the Hasidim that vacation in my town, a double-hat is both hiddur (hence the ever-widening shtreimels) and to protect against ever being bare-headed. The kippah under the average fedora-like hat is insurance. B/c the style of hat is linked to your community, cowboy hat seems right.

We can, but in some towns, not alone.

In my area, folks have been working for years to build a bike path between the elementary schools and the regional high school so kids (and parents!) can walk/bike between these places without being on state or federal highways. (We don't have sidewalks.)

I am an active participant. I didn't "give up" until I moved to another state. That's why I know the hurdles that have to be crossed and don't just blithely say, "Call your City" - because it isn't that simple.

Also, I'm an elected official - don't talk to me about participating in democracy.

A - City councils can't change state roads nor do they have jurisdiction over schools.

B - Getting the state to make changes, such as adding lights or crosswalks, involves adding it to the 10 Year Plan, securing funding from the legislature, a highway design... Decades.

Big drawbacks - it's a one time deal (you are irritating a nerve - when it gets over it, it's over it) so you get 20* minutes of nerve dysfunction and then it quits working. Also, that injection hurts like hell.

*Your time may vary.

Thanks! After my huge lido+epi failure, thanks to refugee dentist, I got adequate anesthesia with saline as a "high" IANB because it irritates the whole ganglion for 20 minutes. (I have since learned that bupivacaine without epi is my friend, but it's not something my dentist has on hand.)
