Most people ask, “Which AI tool should I use?”

Wrong question.

The right one is, “Which task should I automate?”

Focus on high-impact, low-effort work.

That’s how you save time and scale fast.

Here's how: https://shop.philliphughes.co.uk/l/automation

AI saved our client 30 hours a week.

We used automation tools, AI agents, and a custom-coded API.

Now machines handle 90% of the work.
The last 10% takes 15 minutes, not 4 hours.

AI + automation + coding isn’t hype—it’s leverage.

Today it's all about football. Huge local Derby on the TV

Wigan Vs Bolton - COYWM

Oh, got the Manchester Derby on the laptop too.

How are you spending your Saturday afternoon.

Lawyers lose thousands by not billing small tasks.

One firm missed £138k a year by skipping calls under a billing threshold.

I built an automation that links calls, CRM, invoicing, and email.

Now every minute gets tracked, billed, and sent automatically.

A 30-minute task now takes 15 seconds.

One AI agent pulls the data. Another cleans and processes it.
No hallucinations. No manual steps.

My client saved a full work week every month.

How long are you still spending on reports?

Spent 16 hours creating a report for every client.
Now it takes 2 minutes.

We used AI + automation to:
- Build the report
- Format it to Word, PDF, and Sheets
- Add extra data for internal use

9500% return on time.
Their business can finally scale.

2025 Review time.
A big thank you to Modern Wisdom podcast for the template. I used it this time last year to review 2024. Let's see how 2025 has gone and then I'm going to read what I wrote last year.

Have you done a review of 2025?

Most AI automation fails before it starts.

Why?

People automate the wrong things.

Instead of copying templates, look at what wastes your time. Rank 2-5 tasks by impact and simplicity. Then automate those.

Start from your process, not someone else's solution.

They say Facebook Pages are dead!
No! Your content is rubbish.

The FB page for a side project was at 3.5K for ages (and was losing followers).
Today, I've got 19.5K

< 4 weeks to have a 457% increase in followers.

The best part. FB are paying $650+ as well 😲

Automation gets messy fast.

We start every project with one rule: keep it simple.

Smaller workflows. Clear boundaries. Stack them like LEGO.

It’s easier to scale when each block does one job well.

Overbuilding on day one kills momentum.

You can't automate a process if nothing is written down.

Start by mapping it at a high level.

Then decide which steps to hand off to AI.

No time to document? I'll do it for you.

12 months ago, I launched my AI automation agency.

I had no plan, just a skill I knew businesses needed.

Told my network. Took the first few calls. Solved real problems.

Now I run it full-time.

No idea what 2026 looks like—but I’m ready.

Most people still think AI agents are just smarter chatbots.

They're not.

AI agents see, decide, and act on their own—no step-by-step instructions needed.

They handle tasks, learn from feedback, and improve without asking for help.

Think less like a tool, more like a teammate.

I've had a business idea rattling around my head for months.

Already launched a waitlist, heard crickets, killed it.

1 month ago, I watched Diary of A CEO.
A 2-minute conversation on there made me give the idea "the kiss of life".

But I'm expecting to get beaten up again 🤣

Your career will never hug you back.
Your inbox won't remember your birthday.
Your projects won't grow up and leave home.
Your meetings won't cherish memories with you.
Your ambition won't care for you when you're old.

Family time isn't disposable, it's the only resource you can't replenish.
