Too much public discourse adopts this kind of analyst brain instead of just saying "i support Harris because x". It allows negativity to fester and provides too much cover for the misogynists who repeat "bad candidate" without ever been asked to provide a rationale

Hard to look past the Trump factor. I was speaking to a Liberal voter at tennis the other night, he told me he was so disgusted by Dutton's embrace of Trumpist rhetoric that he put an empty ballot in. Common tale i reckon.

Every social media platform devalued their own currency with these nonifications. Big short-term bump in the metrics I'm sure, and a naive product manager probably claimed success and moved on without noticing the long-term dilution.

I also think that Musk's position has shifted a lot over the last couple of years and he probably wasn't intending on becoming a Trump super-backer at the time of the purchase. A great example of audience capture, IMO.
