Spending on Keller, a high-leverage arm, was definitely a surprise to the upside. Feel like they marginally improved their team. However, the rumors of moving Strahm kinda makes this move a wash, imo. Bullpen depth isn’t a bad thing.

Safe to say that if Bader expects a 3-yr deal, he won’t be back on the Phillies.

I would add, that resigning Bader to a short term deal is a very likely possibility.

Before the MLB free agency period opens, the Phillies are currently the third favorite to win the 2026 World Series.

- multiple veteran RP lottery tickets/depth pieces are added to the mix to compliment Duran/Strahm/Kerkering/Alvarado/Banks
- veteran SP added to compete for the fifth spot

Will anything differ? Possible that Bohm is traded for a reliever and a Luzardo-like trade is made for an OFer.

- Resign Schwarber (5-yr at 25 per) and Realmuto (3-yrs at 20+ per). The pricetag will make fans mad.

- Alvarado option exercised
- An Outfielder is added. OF for 2026 will be Marsh/Crawford/new addition…

The Phillies will have a top 10 odds to win the World Series next year, and that should make every fan happy.

My personal opinion is that the Phillies should make moves that sustain their success for the longest period of time. And the moves they are making seem to be doing that.

Compete every year and hope one year things go right and you win it all.
