Scammers include deliberate mis-spellings because they are only interested in attracting the gullible. Ditto today's Tories

Thing is it fails on the most basic sense test - would they really have a supplier picked when they've only just announced the policy? If political news people don't have a clue how govt works then they should be in another job.

On Yom Kippur many Jewish people in Britain have their phones off to mark the holy day.

As it ends at 723pm, some will hear the tragic Manchester news for the first time.

At that time, please join many of us to send a message of solidarity to British Jews. Thanks Together coalition for proposing.
To everyone in Britain's Jewish Community: you are not alone.

We will not let hate or those who spread it win.

We stand with you.

Would you rather have your life now or be a home weaver in 1811?

I see that Trump's meme coin is hitting new lows. Since the only reason for it having any value at all is support for Trump, a belief that such support will be higher in the future or that owning it could provide access to someone with lasting power, this is probably significant.

As a kid in the 1970s I knew about the Battle of Britain. But it was entirely from watching already old black & white films. Never once mentioned in school - didn't study history to O level and what we did never got beyond Henry VIII

They need to sell it primarily as a convenient way to access state services. It should be something that makes the ordinary person's life a little bit easier in a modern world where proof of id is always required.

Always remember that no matter the circumstances, 19th century gentlemen always had immaculate (even if highly improbable) facial hair.

Won't be long before we have "The Charlie Kirk Song" as the co-national anthem of the USA.

Got to admit that I'm surprised the French were so willing to put up all those Union flags along the Champs-Élysées. Still, fair play to them, they are obviously as pro English nationalism as Musk and his other US tech bros. At least until we invade France and then the US...

Jabba The Hut for sure.

You can bet that Trump's doctors are definitely not listening to RFK Jr - and that Trump fully agrees with them.

I suspect both that she genuinely believes this happened and that it most certainly did not. Memory is weird and this looks like one of those cases where a very real memory turns out to be entirely invented (I've had a few myself). But doubling down is the worst thing she can do in such a scenario.

A couple of years ago now, but everyone needs Niobe when she was a rescued kitten.
Adorable black and white kitten half standing against a cushion

A good burger will always be better than a badly cooked steak. But if you can't cook even a poor cut of steak to be better than a good burger then you are not a good cook.

Amazing they ever met given that Putin went to the US whilst Trump thought he was going to Russia...

Strong UK 3G auction vibes where companies paid many times what they were worth because their biggest fear was losing out to competitors. 25 years on, 3G is largely decommissioned and some of the "winning" companies still haven't recovered their market valuations.

Luckily it's just stuck on with blu tack. Rip it off, wipe with a rag soaked in methylated spirits and it's good to go.

If you are working on a plane then the problem is either you or your employer. Why do you want to penalise everyone else for your bad choices?

Hmm, Farage states it has nothing to do with "undeclared income" Which would seem to imply more of a case of an undeclared gift so potentially more serious since gifts are implicitly bribes whereas there is at least an argument that income is genuinely earned.
