Okay, two things to note: one, about ten years ago I was at a beta test of this tech at CMU. It was cute and inoffensive.
Two, not every use of technology is nefarious and to be mistrusted. Do you want to get the Imperium of Man? Because this fearmongering is how you get the Imperium of Man.
