I will say, having PEM does sometimes feel like a lifetime Dr's note to get out of gym, but then I try to do basic life tasks and it takes as much energy as exercising did when I was healthy and remember it's not that cool 😂

Obviously, there is nuance to this situation for individual medical needs, etc, but how can you put your kids through the possibility of that suffering?? Your friends kids? The elderly & immunocompromised?

Romantic partnership can be wonderful and fulfilling, and is something I would want for myself, but it is absolutely not necessary for a good life! My life is filled with so, so many wonderful people I get to love and love me.

My quality of life skyrocketed after working on liking myself enough to be okay with being alone, and realizing I'm completely whole as myself has been LIFE CHANGING. At this point, I'll only date people who will actively add to my life.
