I put a pinch of all the fibers that went into a batt blend in a little pocket on the back of the pack. I think it's a cool extra feature.

Backstory:
The goal is to sell 4 ounces of ultra-blended batts that beginning spinners can easily work with.

This blend was way too muted when I pulled it off so I cut it in half, did some fiber math, and ended up with a "double batch."

Very pleased with the results!

I took an online class on spinning for consistency with Maggie Casey through MDSW this past weekend & one of the things we did was to examine the variance in yarn we could produce by adjusting only the brake band - same whorl, same number of treadles, same draft, same fiber. 🧶 #yarnsky #spinningyarn

Wool batt with nepps

Drum carding up my second 4 ounces set of "sunset" batts. It's going well. I think I have also found a good clear bag to put them in to sell. Just waiting on it to be delivered so I can test it out!
