Closing it is definitely an effective way to hide the low ticket sales and stop artists from cancelling shows.

Unfortunately too many politicians are “investors with dozens of properties”, or many properties at least, and don’t want to enact policies which will affect their own hip pockets.

No, the US has a veto on the UN Security Council, so the UN will do nothing. Allowing the Big 5 to veto has been a huge issue with the UN.
