Such a pity that the guy walking by inn the background was a few seconds too early.

Yes, 70% aren't concerned, so this is once again some nonsense manoeuvre from industry lobbyists.

Culture war crap..
A 2020 survey by the European Consumer Organisation BEUC found that most consumers, around 70%, are not concerned about the naming of veggie "burgers" or "sausages" if the products are clearly identifiable as vegetarian or vegan.

I heard that a guy at work has a bet at 7/1 on Connolly.

Not sure what bookies, probably PP.

Yeah, I don't think we need to eat that much red meat to achieve savoury goals.

I reckon if I could keep Chorizo I wouldn't be bothered about losing the rest, and my current bore is we should bring back a focus on the Mediterranean diet.

When I asked him about how Warsaw had utterly transformed in less than the 20 years between my visits, he said ‘we kicked out the oligarchs, and then there was money to rebuild’

I've ended up on Richmond road a few times while following a SatNav and it's totally unsuitable for two way traffic.

It's easily avoidable too, though obviously not if you are following a talking box.

Weird article..

"Normality" in Israel was a lie.
Returning to it doesn't fix anything.

Shiny buildings, darling tech companies, Eurovision wins, it was all papering over the cracks of the apartheid walls Israel built.

Nice work again on the direct democracy front.

I'd call it business as usual from the USA.
Quite frankly, the only unusual bit is that the US is doing it domestically this time.

Lessons to be learned,
1. Don't allow your nation to coup other nations.
2. Don't allow your nation to abduct people under the guise of extraordinary rendition.
Etc..

And @nialljournal.bsky.social has now blocked me. How telling.

Please don't let this die - there IS a story here and @thejournal.ie and the Gardai both have questions to answer on how this information reached the media.
amflynn.bsky.social
Re-sharing this because ex-Garda @nialljournal.bsky.social seems to have gone very quiet on the topic.

So many of us have shared confidential personal info with the Garda Vetting Bureau in order to volunteer in our communities. That data does not appear to be safe.
eslsys.bsky.social
There is a real story here Niall if you'd care to write about it, someone is leaking Garda vetting information for political gain. Breaching confidentiality and GDPR requirements. Every underage coach, every volunteers data is not secure. Confidence in vetting undermined. That's the story. #Aras25

They are the puppets (and sock puppets) of fossil fuel interests headed by billionaires.

A global move towards unionisation is the only effective strategy.

It's a bit late now, but can't help but think that Americans should probably have cared more about what was and is done in their name outside of their borders.

It's hard to reign in those practiced capabilities now.

Without Unions this level of organised and coordinated action is difficult to achieve.

The first significant step would be to form Unions en masse in response to this billionaire lead coup.

Seems like a Globally applicable lesson.

Today I learned (on the Nazi site) that the first attempt to break Israel's siege on Gaza via a flotilla took place 15 yrs ago, in 2010. Israeli forces boarded the Mavi Marmara & killed 10 people. The youngest, 19 yr old Furkan Dogan, was shot five times from close range. He was an American citizen.
