More than just a Dream...

“A-alright, you guys might call me crazy for this, but I just had an insane dream. No… it wasn’t JUST a dream, it ACTUALLY happened, trust me! While we celebrated how we’ve made it through so much on this journey, a question in my mind was still lingering; what’s up with the ghost dinosaurs and crystals? We’ve observed that the Apex Morphs we gained access to all this time were connected via how they have strange, primal mana coursing all over my body. Whenever we got near even a small crystalline shard, Tater-Tot and I felt that power, again and again. It felt kinda like we were in the same eternal rhythm and circle of life, not only between Tater-Tot and myself, but all living creatures. And that extends to the Morph as well. Taking in the spectral energies emitting from each of their slowly-crystalizing remains, I was able to take on the same abilities of the Hellbeasts. I just figured we could find out to some extent before the trip ends, and we soon drifted off to sleep. What happened next was MORE than just that. The next moment I knew, I suddenly found myself in a pitch-black void, all alone, and in my shadowy base form on top of it. I freaked out for a bit, wondering where everyone was, especially Tater-Tot, until I sensed something. I swooped and dove into the abyss, as my electroreception was going bonkers. Right when I arrived at the source… I saw her. Looming over 100 meters high, radiating with an intense, primordial power, many shadowy tendrils waving around and rooting her to the abyss like an ethereal tree, and with the mother of all Venus-like looks (BIg ol’ belly and curves) on her crystal-encrusted mass, there was something… familiar about her. We both stared each other down, albeit with me being spooked and bewildered on my end, for a few minutes, before the giant future spoke. Speaking with an eldritch, static-like tone to her voice at first, before she cleared her throat, the figure introduced herself as “Gaia”, and welcomed me into the primal…

“It’s been one helluva climb, but we’ve arrived at some of the highest peaks in Laramidia. Perching myself onto a large cliffface, Tater-Tot and I can see the rest of Hell Creek from up here. Even with my levitation and wall-scaling skills, traversing here can be a bit risky. Due to the unstable terrain, all it would take for something to come plummeting down is one wrong step. It’s a good thing that the dinosaurs and other animals here are tough as rocks, being hardy and agile enough to survive these treacherous peaks. You just need to watch your step.”
