Came 3rd in the challenge, Mega Lucario pulling its weight a lot more than Mega Mawile so I'm gonna stick with that. Still tempted to put Munkidori back in but the list is pretty tight as it is.

As someone asked me about this, a general rule of thumb for points needed for top cut at a cup is: subtract 2 from the number of rounds, multiply by 3 and then add 1 (though this isn't guaranteed every time, and sometimes you can bubble in without the +1).

400 players in the Lille Cup, absolutely wild! Currently 0-2 against some terrible matchups (damn you Crustle) but the day is young.

4-3-1, not too shabby - had an interesting set of matchups but the Zard with Ho-oh ultimately did me in. Doing the cup tomorrow so we'll see how that goes 🙂

Lost my win & in for T4 at the Cup, knew that one would go to time so I honoured the agreement to go on prize cards and it did not fall my way. Had a couple of bricks and a couple of silly mistakes but could have gone a lot worse, there will always be a next time 🙂

Thursday's Challenge could have gone better but given that I had 2 rounds against item lock decks, which mostly involved me sitting there doing sod all, and still managed to eke out ties in both of them I'm not too disappointed. Getting a Dusknoir-induced donk in R3 was just funny 😅

The pre-release promos for Mega Evolution Base Set are Meganium, Inteleon, Alakazam, and Lunatone.
This seems like one of the most fairly balanced pre-releases in a long time.
Though Solrock being able to deal 70 damage for 1 energy (if Lunatone's on your bench) seems really strong.

Second challenge of the year went better, 3/15 and 10pts in the jar. First round had 2 Gimmi prized both games and got board wiped by Wellspring Mask Ogerpon so not much I could do about that, but I used up all my bad luck in the first round so can't complain.
