For #sewandtell gifts, here is a vest made in fabric from Thailand. It’s for my son-in-law. His favorite color is purple. Right now it’s lost in the mail and I’m praying the post office finds it :(

Here is my everyday hero for #SewAndTell week 13.

The Ellis dress from Merchant and Mills made in their linen check. I wear it at least once a week three seasons of the year.

#sewandtell week 12 is knit fabric. Here is a Collette patterns dress I made in a plaid knit from thrifted yardage. It is so fun to wear. I feel Scottish;)

#sewandtell scraps week!
Here is a shirt (Closet Core pattern) I made from plaid scraps left over from a drawstring bag sewing class I taught. I love it. It matches everything in my wardrobe.

I'm late to this -- came out a couple weeks ago -- sorry -- but this podcast episode is really worth listening to (despite the episode title, it's only incidentally about the Kimmel fiasco).

Highly recommended.

#SewandTell favorites - this plaid skirt from The Assembly Line Patterns. I sewed it up in thrift store fabric and it matches so many things already in my wardrobe. I just love it.

#SewandTell week 3 is patchwork. I made the Coquillage jacket from Camimade patterns with patchwork pieces I inherited from my Aunt as well as pieces I put together myself. Her work has 70s colors and patterns. I found scraps from my stash that could tie in. #garmentsewing #sewsky

#SewandTell week 2 my favorite summer sew is this pattern from 100 Acts of Sewing. It’s stitched up in a breezy viscose, perfect for hot and humid days.

Here’s my #sewandtell, my first vintage 50s pattern for my daughter. She fell in love with this decade and would hunt down the patterns on eBay. I made seven different dresses before all was said and done. I really enjoyed learning the different techniques.

I like prompt games like #showmeyourknits and #crochetaway,
but I'm missing one for #sewing. So I'm starting my own game.
Let's #sewandtell 🧵
For the first week, we start with something first.
Can be your very frist sewing or maybe the first time you mastered a difficult technic ...

Stitched up the Fen dress from Fancy Tiger Crafts. I used a vintage curtain from the 80s Soviet Union. Very Maria Von Trapp of me, I know ;) But I love the result. It’s the perfect casual, everyday dress. Best of all, I bought nothing to make it.

Using what you have is an act of rebellion. This Camimade Coquillage quilted jacket is sewn from hundreds of tiny squares cut from fabric from my Aunt and Mom. The lining, binding, and batting were also in my stash. I purchased only the pattern.

Making my own clothes is an act of rebellion. Today’s me-made outfit: Almost Long Trousers from The Assembly Line pattern company and the Boho Sleeve Thea Blouse from Liberty of London. Both sewn up in fabrics from my local fabric store.

Sewing is therapy. Be creative while the world burns. It’s good for your soul. Here is my latest creation, the Merchant and Mills Ellis dress sewn in Winter Hymn linen from M&M with Scandinavian-inspired cross stitch that I designed and stitched while watching endless episodes of Bones.

Exactly this.
The US won the geopolitical lottery having Canada and Mexico as neighbors. This kind of offensive nonsense is doing so much damage, not just to America's standing in the world, but to our security.
Trump: "When you take away that artificial line that looks like it was done by a ruler ... you look at that beautiful formation of Canada and the US, there is no place anywhere in the world that looks like that. And then if you add Greenland, that's pretty good."

Which is why: divest, divest, divest.
If Tesla's stock drops far enough, the bank loans Elon took out to buy Twitter lose their collateral and get called back immediately.

Which is why Elon is panicking, Trump is panicking, and their shadow backers are all panicking.
