The Last Jedi feels like a middle movie that fell out of an alternate universe from a more interesting sequel trilogy that had actual movies with themes and ideological concepts instead of being the genre I like to call Star Wars Soup

also, saying it again, it's really funny how people looked at The Coolest Thing That's Ever Happened In A Star Wars Movie and went "um this breaks canon >:( if this works, why didn't anyone do it before >:(" like I dunno man, this is a franchise where guys made 2 dozen impractical planet-sized guns

like elon always was the perfect guy to run twitter. he symbolizes everything that's fucking rotten about the goddamned site so well - vain, cloutchasing, absolutely convinced of his own genius, shallow media engagement, dogpiling dunking etc etc

bluesky is just all the cultural+format problems of twitter that led to twitter being what it is but without the obviously evil figurehead at the top (and without the nazi bots)

social media is still a hyperbolic time chamber but for poison and narcissism instead of getting stronger

also extremely enjoying the combination MUDROOM & LAUNDRY/COAT CLOSET that has no washer or dryer but has two big bathtubs in it, which i assume you wash your clothes in

i don't know why but i'm picturing this bathroom being absurdly long and dimly lit and the single sink is like a punchline basically

of course now that i type all of this i realize the reason i'm not enjoying it is probably that i am severely depressed lately and not getting a lot of enjoyment out of anything

i want to learn why i don't enjoy it so maybe i can learn to enjoy it! i want to enjoy as many things as possible, or failing that, at least understand *why* i didn't enjoy them
