I wouldn't mind being turned into a Weeble.

After Tooey🐢️ and pals unjam Tibby's🐘️ machine, Pendleton🐧️ is covered in candy floss and tells Zuzie Q.🐔️ he needs to "take a shower and wash my clothes and hair and my shoes and my socks and my ears and my underwear and my... my everything!" How do Weebles' clothes even work?

I was surprised that the 2016-2017 Weebles cartoon had episodes about hand washing and medical checkups. Many cartoons shy away from mentioning health and hygiene to avoid even implying the intimate. This helps viewers tell the characters are mammals, not living toys like Noddy.

Notice how Tibby Wobnobbin's fingers are square and stubby in the toy, more like a real elephant, and much slimmer in the cartoon. Imagine what it would have looked like if Tibby had held things with her trunk instead.

Dutch "aandelen" means "shares of stock." Mexican Spanish "ándale" sounds similar and means "hurry up!" It makes me imagine high-frequency traders (HFT) saying "Aandelen, aandelen, ¡arriba, arriba!" like Speedy Gonzales from WB's Looney Tunes.

Guess which Weeble has orange skin, floppy hair, an unbuttoned jacket, and a red cap with white lettering?

That's right, it's Bumpus!

A roly-poly figurine contains a weight in the base such that when it tips over, the weight pulls the figure back upright.

Weebles are a children's toy line by Hasbro that uses this principle. "Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down!"

But how would Weebles play football without feet?
November 16, 2025 at 9:29 PM
Chicken without legs, like Zuzie Q. from the Weebles cartoon

I've read that a newborn human child's head size is constrained by balancing fitting through the mother's pelvis ("cephalopelvic disproportion") with ability to run. If human descendants evolve to scoot on hands and bottom (see video), the pelvis can become as wide as it needs to be to pass baby.

If our descendants had no legs, like the children from the Weebles cartoon, they'd also have a hole at the bottom of the skull. That's more an "upright" thing than a "bipedal" thing.

Or she walks on her hands and bottom like this

I think I know which Weeble the felon looks like, with his orange skin, floppy hair, unbuttoned jacket, and red cap with white lettering: Bumpus

A rough English counterpart might be
- What do you call a frog without legs?
- Unhoppy
("hop" = jump; resembles "unhappy")

On the other hand, Weebles fans might put it this way:
- What do you call a frog with no legs?
- Call him by his name: Uggie

Now all he needs is a sack to put his bottom in, like Beast from Weebles has

I wish I was fit enough to pull off a convincing Easter bunny.
October 14, 2025 at 8:30 PM
So like Papa, Mama, and Baby Bear from Weebles, I take it

I'm curious how someone might tag the anthro characters from the 2005 Weebles cartoon. They have arms, but instead of hind legs they wobble around on their butt.
October 10, 2025 at 11:54 PM
Case in point: The kids from the Weebles cartoon manage to enjoy life without legs
October 10, 2025 at 4:36 PM
Sure do. This one from 2005 reminds me of the President.

I wonder if even Hasbro knows. Every 6 years or so, they bring back Weebles.

Are you sure you're turning into a Pokémon, or into a Weeble?

Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down!

If Trump were a Weeble with orange skin, floppy hair, an unbuttoned jacket, and a red cap with white lettering, he'd probably look like Bumpus.
September 26, 2025 at 2:23 AM
Tell me about it. In one episode of Weebles, Bumpus (mailman/inventor) body-slams a firefighter into a Super Springaling 3000 catapult.
September 26, 2025 at 2:16 AM
Hasbro relaunched Weebles several times later from 1987 through 2023, changing up the appearance each time.
