An embarrassingly obvious point, but...

This. Is. Illegal.

If anything like the rule of law were in force, Trump couldn't arbitrarily increase a tariff because he is annoyed.

In important and increasing ways, the rule of law in the US no longer exists.

Which again, is why the laser focus of everyone, including the national media, needs to be on the people who can actually make the difference, instead of obsessing about What Democrats Must Do.
Lisa Murkowski
Susan Collins
Thom Tillis
David Valadao
Bryan Steil
Etc.

Every day, the entire National Conversation is laser-focused on What Democrats Must Do, & these supposedly "moderate" Republicans get total free passes. They're the ones who can end it all. Find them. Ask the hard questions.
It is incredibly difficult to get folks to understand that there are literally 20-30 people in DC who could end all of this tomorrow, & all of them are Republicans in Congress, & no one in the National Conversation seems interested in paying attention to that.

It’s still hard to grasp that there aren’t 4 GOP Reps (who will otherwise be forgotten forever after retiring & likely defeated next year anyway) aren’t interested in going down in history as all-time 🇺🇸 heroes by caucusing with the Dems & giving them the majority to impeach Trump & save the Republic
Democrats should hold a press conference and announce that if Mike Johnson has no interest in running the House they'd be happy to do it for him
Mike Johnson has dissolved Congress. Why?

The Marco Rubio who testified today is not the one I served with in the Senate. He has had a full MAGA lobotomy.

Today I directly told him about the many ways he has betrayed American values and interests:

People need to be crystal clear about something: The requirement that the government ANSWER to a court on the legal basis for detaining someone is literally the core liberty right (habeas corpus). If the government says they don’t have to do that bc “national security,” YOU can be disappeared.

Elon Musk does not care if you stop buying Tesla or divest from X, he can literally serve himself every government contract imaginable to backfill the losses. It’s almost worse for the stock to plummet because then he will go on tilt. Not saying buy a Tesla but it’s heads he wins tails we lose.

100000000% THIS

Remember Mitch McConnell's strategy was to use unchallenged seats on school boards, city councils, etc to build a foundation of extreme right-wing power. Progressives need to do the same.

This is why I donate to @runforsomething.net monthly. If you're willing, they'll help you run.
It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.
