Happy 120th birthday to Tyrannosaurus rex and Albertosaurus sarcophagus, two of the most iconic of all predatory dinosaurs! Here’s some vintage and modern artwork of the two to celebrate how far we’ve come.

A bronze-orangeish Tyrannosaurus with a striking green eye prowls down a sandy riverside. Its dragging tail kicks up dust as it goes, and its jaws drip with streams of saliva. Its arms are curled beneath the chest, held at odd angles that further the strange and almost unnatural menace it exudes.

The imposing form of a green-grey Tyrannosaurus strides into frame, moving across a sandy shore as its path converges with a Triceratops. The two animals acknowledge each other with measured aggression, subtle but clear.

A hefty, amphibian-like tyrannosaur with a boxy, squared off snout. It stands with its back to the viewer, head turned back with a disdainful expression. The tail coils into a tight curve behind it.

A lightly coloured Albertosaurus with simple but striking red and black markings on the face moves through a wet, oily shore. Its body is stained with oil, and it had a displeased demeanour. A swirl of clouds in the sky behind it suggests early morning or late evening, casting the scene in a dim reddish hue.

I have made the difficult decision to cancel my pre-order of a Pokemon Legends Z-A. It’s just too expensive to gamble on when everything I see about the game makes me think I’m gonna hate it. I’m sad though 😞

I went in with few expectations and was still underwhelmed. 60 minutes and nothing to get excited about. Paid DLC announced for Pokémon Legends ZA before it even comes out is diabolical. It’s already $70 before tax. I am superrrrr interested in Pokopia though, ngl.

I have it on good authority from my Clive Cussler reading husband that the book is very different. Neither are particularly good but we have a soft spot for the film all the same. The soundtrack is excellent. Hauntingly beautiful, as it should be. youtu.be/xVr6mx57WQ8

Pokémon is getting its own Tamagotchi. The device will feature 157 Pokémon (all regions). Seven will be Poké Partners with more expressions/animations (Pikachu, Eevee, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Lucario, and Sylveon.) It will cost approx $51 and release on October 11th, 2025.
