I will say that I would recommend looking into the grad school route if you have any desire to leave or to just get a degree. College is MUCH more affordable here and they have really substantial funding opportunities (compared to US) even with current austerity measures

I’m in a thesis based program so I’ll be graduating probably in 28/29 and I’m hoping things just chill out because I don’t want to be here long term. I do however keep trying to look into next steps if things stay bad. Maybe a PHD? And looking into this makes me sad!

I left (grad school in Canada) and am very homesick. I don’t miss “America” but I love NYC and it’s basically the only place I ever saw myself living. I’m lucky that I’ve had such a smooth exit and I hope that I’ll be able to help others leave if they need to but MAN it’s stressful.
