If the dress is close to the new show, why did she switch back to her old dress rather than keeping her pink/purple dress she wore once her amulet changed to pink?

(I’m trying to write a story with a ghost in it. However, it has both Sofia characters AND Elena characters and I came to realize that ghost lore works differently for both of them so I don’t know how to accurately go through with it!)
