I found out that feeding children was a topic of debate when I was about 11, and I went to my parents absolutely dumbfounded. Now I’m in my mid 30s, and I’m still dumbfounded. I don’t understand how any person could want any child to go hungry.

There’s a delicate balance between representing your client zealously and acting in a way that gives you a trash reputation. Most industries require you to work with the same lawyers over and over again. Don’t make your name toxic friends.

Holy fuck. Today was so much fun as a lawyer. I think today was the most comfortable I’ve ever felt in a hearing. I was in command of the room and had opposing counsel on their heels from the opening statements. In fact another attorney at the hearing even emailed me after to tell me how well I did.
