Currently implementing the POI system for #TinyDreamWorld procedurally generated Dreamscapes. 🌸

The game designer will be able to create "chunks" in an editor and they will be randomly placed by the generation algorithm.

Very sorry for the recent inactivity! I will finally have some time for my own games in July again! 🥳

Reaaally want to get back to #TinyDreamWorld but I'm absolutely swamped with other game projects
(that I can't even post about 😅) currently.

But this is a good sign for my future #indiedev plans!

Progress on procedurally generated levels in #TinyDreamWorld 🎄✨

It's definitely not perfect yet and the parameters will need to be tweaked to result in actually fun levels but it's good enough to start building the "content placement" part next. 😊

Implemented a simple Binary Space Algorithm to block out the island sections of a #TinyDreamWorld level. The actual island shapes will either be hand-authored chunks or generated via a "random walk algorithm".

Also pretty satisfying to watch it go. 😄

Been another pretty busy week but managed to get some planning for #TinyDreamWorld procedural generation done at least. 😄

I've been going back and forth on which algorithm to use - here's a simple "Random Walk" algorithm in action. ✨

The dreamscapes in #TinyDreamWorld are currently handcrafted with predefined spawn locations for gameplay elements.

Time to make them more interesting! 😄

For the next update, I'm going to start working on *actual* procedural level generation! ✨

TIL that you can create 3D Text Logos for your games in #blender

Simply Ctrl+A > Text, type the desired text in Edit Mode, convert the Text Object to a Mesh and customize as you like.

Once you're happy, set up a camera and render via F12.✨

🎮 I will be bringing my paused 3D Jump&Run to itch.io as "Playable Prototype".

It will feature one fully playable level and a boss stage at the end of it. Would be a shame to let all this work gather dust for an unforeseeable time. 😄

I've finally taken the leap. ☕
Starting in july, I will be working as a Unity Freelancer! 😄

While I am confident in my technical skills, I'm still quite new to finding clients, bookkeeping, doing taxes, writing invoices, contracts, licenses... Oh god.
