2: Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars - Director's Cut

A lesser known classic from the golden age of point-and-clicks. You can tell that there's care put into this version of the game, it's very charming and fun.

1: Star Trek: The Motion Picture

I liked it enough but it's nowhere near the best of TOS. Very pretty models (that we spend about an hour of runtime holding on) and a plot that eventually just becomes recycled 2001 concepts. I do appreciate it for what it is, though.

My timeline has been filled with facebook boomer dem posts since the election I'm so sick of it. I tried to move over to bluesky to get away from politics and it followed me here, but the other flavor of awful.

I also love how every time Sally walks into scene her ass is on display like it's its own character. She's such a fun character on top of being eye candy, I love her and her relationship with Alex.

This shit is so unbelievably stylish it's one of those "I can't believe this was a serialized manga" moments. Jaw-dropping thick black shading in nearly every chapter, just an insane amount of quality on display at every turn.

It's the perfect style of "break my game" design that people love from stuff like Risk of Rain 2

Spencer/Xbox's strategy has been really bizarre, they seem to be more focused on the ability to play their back catalog of games rather than developing new ones.

I'm excited to see if more adaptions of classic novels show up as games like this, the format of an adventure game works incredibly well for a story trying to ask deep philosophical questions and demanding the player come to their own conclusion.

The Invincible is a fantastic adaptation of the Polish 70s hard sci-fi novel of the same name, an adventure game about theoretical evolution and ethical conundrums. It's something I'm going to be thinking about for a while.

I actually discovered Red Vox randomly through music recommendations, then later my friend told me that was Vinny's band and my mind was blown.
