While I'm in the mood, thought I'd make a post about my #goty for 2025. I didn't play nearly enough of this year's releases but I can confidently say my too 5 were:

1. Split Fiction

3. Xenoblade Chronicles X:Definitive Edition
4. Mafia: The Old Country
5. Pokemon Legends ZA

Got really jealous of all the peeps who did media/videogame threads throughout last year so I'm gonna do my best to join in this time around. Had the busiest most stressful year of my life in 2025 so I'm making 2026 a year of relaxing and trying to play as many games as possible

I enjoyed playing through #mafiatheoldcountry immensely. A lot of people are complaining it's not long enough but I really feel like we're missing these 12 hour linear experiences nowadays that used to dominate during 7th gen. At least I'm missing them

Operation Rainfall is still the first thing I think about whenever I see xenoblade or the Wii in general.

It's crazy how far we've come in the last 10 years, I can't remember the last time I saw a game and felt worried it wouldn't be localised like I did constantly back in the day.
