I mean if you’re looking for an alternative I hear Rent a Hero No.1 is pretty good, have yet to play it myself but I hear it’s like if Yakuza dropped on Dreamcast and had a big focus on the side-stories

Also you’re never gonna guess but it actually DOES have a PS1 tie in by Hudson! A lot of people mistake the album for the games soundtrack but it just uses instrumentals reminiscent of it!
I’ve played a bit and it’s really solid despite not being able to read any dialogue

Forgot to add, from what I’ve read so far, the MTV series is genuinely an insanely well done adaptation, I’m talking straight up translating panels to the screen 1:1. Shit rocks.

Kinda hate that some kinda wrote it off as “wow look how edgy this comic from the 90s is, it has all this really dark shit in it” without taking the time to consider how it’s handled and the really surreal storytelling presented here yknow?
