"I've known him for years, he's Mr Caerphilly. He'll work so hard".

The by-election is a straight fight between Plaid Cymru and Reform UK - between hope and division.

Vote for Mr Caerphilly - Lindsay Whittle - on 23 October 💚
Meeting 'Mr Caerphilly' - the candidate hoping to give Labour a bloody nose

Caerphilly and Wales is at a crossroads - Plaid Cymru’s hope versus Reform’s division.

A vote for Lindsay Whittle in the Caerphilly by-election on 23 October 2025 is a chance to set Wales on a path for a fairer, more ambitious future that only Plaid Cymru offers. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Mae Caerffili a Chymru ar groesffordd - gobaith gyda Phlaid Cymru yn erbyn Reform sy’n ceisio rhannu ein cymunedau.

Mae pleidlais dros Lindsay Whittle yn isetholiad Caerffili ar 23 Hydref yn gyfle i osod Cymru ar lwybr at y dyfodol tecach a mwy uchelgeisiol dim ond Plaid Cymru sy’n ei gynnig. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Statement by Rhun ap Iorwerth and Liz Saville Roberts to mark two years since the 7 October 2023 attacks.

@rhunapiorwerth.bsky.social
@lsrplaid.bsky.social
Today, we remember with horror the Hamas attack on innocent Israelis on 7 October 2023.

We think of the hostages and all those whose lives were coldly ripped apart on that day. Our thoughts are also with the Jewish community in Wales, for whom this anniversary will be even more harrowing following the horrific attack on Heaton Park synagogue.

Two years on, the bloodshed continues. Over 69,000 people have been killed. Israel has committed genocide in Gaza, according to the UN commission of inquiry. Children’s futures have been stolen, families destroyed, and entire communities razed to the ground. The scale of suffering is almost unimaginable, and yet the world has allowed it to continue. This cannot go on.

A ceasefire is urgently needed. There is now a glimmer of hope as negotiations begin, but it will count for nothing until the violence stops. Gaza needs food, aid, and humanitarian access at scale – and only a ceasefire can make that possible.

The international community must do more. Governments must act decisively to end the genocide, secure the immediate release of hostages, protect civilians, and uphold international law. Every day of inaction allows more suffering – there can be no more delay.

Datganiad gan Rhun ap Iorwerth a Liz Saville Roberts i nodi dwy flynedd ers ymosodiadau 7 Hydref 2023.

@rhunapiorwerth.bsky.social
@lsrplaid.bsky.social
Heddiw, rydym yn cofio gydag arswyd ymosodiad Hamas ar Israeliaid diniwed ar 7 Hydref 2023.

Rydym yn meddwl am y gwystlon a'r holl fywydau a rwygwyd yn ddarnau y diwrnod hwnnw. Mae ein meddyliau hefyd gyda'r gymuned Iddewig yng Nghymru - bydd heddiw yn fwy brawychus byth yn dilyn yr ymosodiad erchyll ar synagog Heaton Park.

Ddwy flynedd yn ddiweddarach, mae'r lladd yn parhau, gyda dros 69,000 o bobl wedi marw. Mae Israel wedi cyflawni hil-laddiad yn Gaza, yn ôl comisiwn ymchwilio'r Cenhedloedd Unedig. Mae dyfodol plant wedi cael ei ddwyn, teuluoedd wedi'u dinistrio, a chymunedau cyfan wedi'u chwalu i'r llawr. Mae graddfa'r dioddefaint yn annealladwy bron, ac eto mae'r byd wedi caniatáu iddo ddigwydd. Ni all hyn barhau.

Mae angen cadoediad ar frys. Mae yna lygad o obaith wrth i drafodaethau ddechrau, ond ni fydd yn cyfrif am ddim nes bod y trais yn dod i ben. Mae angen bwyd, cymorth, a mynediad dyngarol ar raddfa fawr ar Gaza - a dim ond cadoediad all wneud hynny'n bosibl.

Rhaid i’r gymuned ryngwladol wneud mwy. Rhaid i lywodraethau weithredu’n bendant i ddod â’r hil-laddiad i ben, sicrhau rhyddhau gwystlon ar unwaith, amddiffyn sifiliaid, a chynnal cyfraith ryngwladol. Mae pob diwrnod o beidio gweithredu yn caniatáu mwy o ddioddefaint – ni all fod mwy o oedi.

Mae newid ar y gweill i wleidyddiaeth Cymru.

Mae'r dewis yn glir: Dirywiad a chasineb Reform, neu obaith ac uchelgais gyda Phlaid Cymru.

Yr wythnos nesaf, byddwn yn amlinellu ein cynlluniau ar gyfer dyfodol gwell i Gymru. Byddwch yn rhan ohono 👉 plaid.cymru/cynhadledd2025

Change is coming to Welsh politics.

The choice is clear: Reform UK's division and hate, or Plaid Cymru's pro-Wales vision of hope and fairness.

Next week, we'll be setting out our plans for a better future for Wales at Conference. Be part of it 👉 plaid.cymru/cynhadledd2025?lang=en

Last night the Global Sumud Flotilla was intercepted by Israeli Forces, blatantly violating international law once again.

I have written to the UK Government urging them to ensure that all those, including my constituent Hannah Schafer, who have been detained, are safely released.

🚨 Dim ond Plaid Cymru all guro Reform yng Nghaerffili!

Mae Lindsay Whittle yn llais lleol, dibynadwy sydd wastad wedi sefyll dros ei gymuned.

Ar 23 Hydref, pleidleisiwch #PlaidCymru am y gynrychiolaeth y mae #Caerffili yn ei haeddu ✊

🚨Only Plaid Cymru can stop Reform in #Caerphilly!

Lindsay Whittle is a bold, trusted local voice who's always stood up for his community.

On 23 October, vote #PlaidCymru to give Caerphilly the representation it deserves ✊

‼️ YN TORRI: Mae Llafur wedi pleidleisio yn erbyn ein galwadau i ail-ymrwymo i ddileu tlodi plant trwy targedau ac i gyflwyno taliad plentyn.

Yn lle gweithredu, maent yn gwneud esgusodion.

Byddai llywodraeth Plaid Cymru yn gweithredu i sicrhau'r dechrau gorau posib i'n plant.

‼️ BREAKING: Labour voted against our calls to re-commit to eradicating child poverty with targets and to implement a child payment.

Instead of taking action, they make excuses.

A Plaid Cymru Government will take the action needed to give children the best start in life. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

A year ago, Plaid Cymru outlined plans for a Welsh wealth fund.

Earlier this year, I tabled the amendments to the Crown Estate Bill to make it a possibility...

…but Labour MPs voted against it.

Only Plaid Cymru truly stands up for Wales.

The polls are clear - only Plaid Cymru can stop Reform UK in Wales.

Next May, Wales can choose division with Reform UK who will shatter our communities with hate, or hope and ambition with a pro-Wales Plaid Cymru Government 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
plaidcymru.bsky.social
Mae’r polau piniwn yn glir - dim ond Plaid Cymru all atal Reform UK rhag ennill yng Nghymru.

Fis Mai nesaf, mae gan Gymru ddau ddewis. Naill ai Reform UK fydd yn chwalu ein cymunedau gyda chasineb, neu Lywodraeth Plaid Cymru fydd wastad yn sefyll cornel ein cymunedau 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Pan roedd Port Talbot mewn argyfwng, gwawdiodd Llafur alwad Plaid Cymru am wladoli.

Nawr maen nhw'n brolio eu bod wedi "achub dur Prydain" ar ôl cymryd gweithfeydd dur yn Lloegr i ddwylo cyhoeddus.

Fydd Cymru byth yn anghofio sut y trodd Llafur eu cefnau arnom ni.

When Port Talbot was in crisis, Labour mocked Plaid Cymru’s call for nationalisation.

Now they boast of “saving British steel” after taking steelworks in England into public hands.

Wales will never forget how Labour turned their backs on us.

Plaid Cymru have consistently called for powers over our natural resources - but Labour blocked our attempts. 🤯

Devolving the Crown Estate would allow our communities to directly benefit through help with rising energy bills.
