NO DHS BILL. Strip ICE #$S. Dems must stop this. No faux GOP shutdown. Strip DHS bill; pass other 4. Dems in Senate must stick together and stop this assault on our nation. @chrismurphyct.bsky.social @schumer.senate.gov
Important. There has not been a deescalation.

The next time a Republican or FOX host/guest says the "left must turn down the temperature", just remember the ICE agent's words: "You raise your voice, I erase your voice."

While the president screams nonsense about a "Democrat hoax", one thing is for sure - more tax cuts for billionaires who don't need them and billions of dollars for ICE to terrorize our communities is not helping American families pay for education, housing or healthcare.

Take a look at what tariffs have done to aluminum prices in the US (versus prices in Europe and Japan) — and you can almost understand why there’s been no manufacturing boom. 🤡

"In the past 33 years, I have never experienced any disruption or danger to students like the current ICE occupation of Minnesota."

That's what one teacher from Minnesota said this week. This is completely unacceptable. Our children should not be living like this.

This is the CDC map for homicide rates by state for the most recent year on their website.

Gov. Landry, who leads one of the states in the nation with the highest murder rate, is on television chiding Minnesota, one of the states with the lowest murder rates.

So, "turn down the temperature" is something I've heard from multiple GOP leaders as they blame Democrats for "incendiary language". But, have they even watched FOX lately? Just the first hour after Alex Pretti's killing is quite telling. It was more than incendiary. Look in the mirror GOP.

If you have not yet read @adamserwer.bsky.social on Minnesotans' heroics, you are going to feel way better when you do. He went there. He talked to the people doing the work. Then he thought about it and produced something rare. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0... [gift link]

Wow! Quite an accomplishment to become the villain in a Springsteen song. Go Boss!

In Minnesota, a warm day in January doesn’t mean winter is over. We don’t put away winter gear until May. Remember that. The fight goes on.

just read @cheetah.bsky.social story in the Bulwark regarding GOP Unity slipping. Notable that no MN GOP members are speaking out about investigations or reform. I find that interesting and perhaps a little sad.

Just so we don't forget, while Renee Good and Alex Pretti made the ultimate sacrifice, there were hundreds more of ordinary citizens who stood up for their neighbors in difficult times. Some were sprayed with chemicals, beat up, intimidated, or detained. These unknowns are also worthy of our thanks.

I apologize for anyone trying to use ChatGPT, but I may have caused a meltdown by asking for an “estimate of how many distinct (original) requests have been made to “release the Epstein Files”. Let’s just say Avogadro’s number was less. Are you listening Republicans?

Non-masked MN National Guard are out handing out hot chocolate, coffee and donuts to protesters. One simple act has de-escalated the situation and helped gain the trust of people. See the difference between professional soldiers and the pretend tough guys in CBP and ICE?

Unlike National Guard from other states federalized and sent to DC, these are Minnesotans, who give up one weekend a month and two weeks a year to generally help their fellow Minnesotans in case of weather emergencies.
