The Royal Society position here is absurd. As long as the research is ok, then neither advocacy of atrocious uses for science & tech nor unethical behaviour by a member will warrant censure or expulsion. Many of history’s most egregious villains would have been safe under this light-touch regulation

As long as the research is ok, then neither advocacy of atrocious uses for science & tech nor unethical behaviour by a member will warrant censure or expulsion. Many of history’s most egregious villains would have been safe under this light-touch regulation
