Me too. Or even just "a solar storm is causing aurora". I mean often it's just magnetospheric processes and a standard sub storm... But ya know. Who needs the magnetosphere....

Unfortunately, you are right about that.
Edgewater should have looked similar as long as you had the same north/north east view.
It might be worth trying again Wednesday evening, but we'll know more around sunset.
