I might sporadically do posts for some of the prompts from now but as far as getting them out daily goes I think I'm done.
I'm not that upset about it I just gotta be reasonable about what I'm able to manage

gonna be real I already feel like I don't have it in me to keep up bonktober posts daily. My work schedule isn't gonna allow me to indulge in it as much as I'd like to without getting super burned out. I got other projects I wanna work on and other things I wanna do with my spare time.

I was trying to evoke one of those weird asymetrical krana designs that were shown in the old "PROJECT B.U.G.S." sell-in tape

This one didn't go quite as well as I hoped but I think I was able to salvage it in editing.

I tried sculpting a custom krana out of clay but a lot of its details got lost in the process of trying to slime things up + lighting. I was able to bring some of the detail back in digitally though.

the worst image editing experience is doing a big complicated lasso selection in GIMP and then realizing right at the end you had it set to "add to selection" and the entire canvas was already selected

I think the absolute best defense mechanism against toxic nostalgia is hanging around younger people who wistfully describe the years I think of as "after it all went to shit" as their long-lost glory days. It's not that I'm Right and they're wrong, it's that the whole frame is meaningless.

works decently once I get into the actual editing but it's weirdly slow on startup with all the ads, plus clonestamping on a touchscreen is a little unintuitive for me.
If anything trying picsart just makes me feel like I could do it better and faster on my pc..
