The next 20 years are absolutely not going to be pretty, especially for people in the global south, but we’ve already made so much progress relative to what was previously thought possible that you can’t help but hope that the worst possible outcomes will be avoided.

I think the only thing that’s keeping me sane is reminding myself that even though the effects of climate change are accumulating faster than anticipated, so is the pace of the energy transition.

Renewables have advanced so far beyond what we dreamed possible even 5-10 years ago.

nearly 100 people are dead. we barely know anything about them. their largest impact on the politics of the country that murdered them resulted entirely from how psychopathically the deed was done, not that it was done in the first place, that's totally fine!
