The Dobbs ruling would be the number one determinant for me - hard pass to anywhere my daughters couldn't have access to reproductive health care. I would only consider the green and yellow states on this map.

We can discuss the predatory practices of landlords, but this sort of experience should be mandatory for even the most privileged Americans. It builds character and empathy to try to survive on a crappy starting salary after college. (Assuming better career paths continue to exist...)

Currently on our third big road trip of the year, bring our total miles traveled to around 12000 in 2025 in our minivan. Our family of eight plus all our gear fits into the Odyssey storage compartments with a roof topper. So much easier then flying or driving something like a Sprinter.

To be fair, we do need some studies on how people that previously seemed reasonable have come to view trump as an infallible hero, because that is seriously deranged.

I do this regularly. Black Doves. You. Blacklist (although it sputtered out eventually). Umbrella Academy (worth watching just for their perfect handling of Elliott Page's transition).
Also, true crime shows work for me. If they're too slow, consider a 1.2ish playback speed!

I think they decided that the current Republican party just doesn't care how much pain they inflict on the American people. Their game of chicken with the shutdown was always going to fail bc the GOP doesn't GAF. How do you win when the other party wants to crash?
