Many people treat pigeons like rats with wings, but pigeons once held human lives in their beaks. They navigated through gunfire, fog, and the open sea with a better success rate than many early radios. This article gave me a new appreciation for pigeons, as noble war heroes.

Have you ever considered a raccoon as your next pet? Well it seems that raccoons who live near cities are evolving shorter snouts, the first sign that they’re on the path to domestication. 🦝

On the surface this beautiful story is about running, but it quickly becomes the tale of a father and son, ambition, illness, and building faith in one's self. Sometimes staying in motion is the only thing that can keep a person moving forward.

This is worth a weekend read. The job market is starting to shift as AI hollows out work that previously would have been done by people. This firsthand accounting of a new grad who did all the right things is stark and concerning, but also left me with more questions than answers.

I was today years old when I learned Pad Thai was “invented” in 2001 by the Thai government as part of a campaign to build a national identity.

1/ Introducing, Plinky 5. Every pixel of Plinky has been rethought and redesigned for Apple’s beautiful new Liquid Glass. From the moment you open it, Plinky feels right at home on iOS 26, while staying distinctly Plinky. But I went far beyond that to make saving links faster and more intuitive.

One of my favorite — yet subtle — improvements in Plinky 5.0 is this much more refined banner style. Plinky should be colorful, but a pop of color can make as much of a statement as a dominant color. The app still feels distinctly different than other link saving apps, but more discretely so.

Spent all weekend working on a visual overhaul of the iPad app and I really love how it’s coming together. The brand new Modern theme is perfect for relaxed reading experience, the Noir theme has been thoroughly refined, and Plinky's Classic theme will still be available — with a few nice touch ups.

Coming to Plinky 5.0 (and out in TestFlight today), a handy new Remove Tracking Parameters Shortcut! Get rid of those pesky trackers to improve your privacy, and never see another "Follow x on Instagram" popup again. As you'd expect, this all happens automatically when you save a link in Plinky. 🔗
