trump has spent more than 10 years conditioning his cult to be violent & trying to normalize it with the rest of America.

An ICE agent gunning down a civilian is tragic, but in no way surprising.

This was sadly predictable.

This is why they wear masks.

A really great piece from @stevevladeck.bsky.social, who spent some time yesterday, testifying on Capitol Hill and has a few thoughts about that experience www.stevevladeck.com/p/64082643-6...

The Trump administration murdered Renee Good. They’re claiming self defense.

They murdered Jeffrey Epstein and claimed it was a suicide.

They are protecting Trump and all his pedophile friends implicated in the Epstein files.

The things you once thought could never happen here…are happening.

"Iron laws of the world"? Some of America's most important national accomplishments are about leading humanity away from this kind of bullshit.

If we let ideologues like Stephen Miller drag us back into a world where brute force is all that matters, all of us will be less safe.

Reminder: Trump is an adjudicated rapist, a convicted felon on 34 counts of fraud, and an insurrectionist.

The US doesn't care about criminality or corruption.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act is a law, passed by Congress on November 19 with an overwhelming vote. Complying with it was not optional. The Department of Justice did not comply.

I want to make sure this is very clear.

The Constitution is clear:
Congress has the power and responsibility to authorize the use of military force and declare war. Congress has a duty of oversight. Congress must serve as a check, not a rubber stamp to the President.

On these counts, Congress has failed.

It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

Today is a big win for Illinois and American democracy.

Rachel Maddow had a great opening to her show last night. She showed in Bulguria massive protests lead to it's government to resign.
That's is what needs to happen here. Yes, we had 15 million people show up for the second No Kings. But, we need numbers like 100 million+.
