5/Trump's DOJ can either move the cases toward trial, which would be an interesting spectacle or Trump can pardon/DOJ can dismiss the case. Then, Congressional Dems have the report, ready to release. And, new leaders at DOJ are forced to decide how much they're going to let Trump dictate their work.
