Prosecutors must immediately drop the allegations of a ‘terrorism connection’ now.

Those responsible must also make sure the hunger strikers get the medical care they need.

Let’s be clear: any loss of life in this situation would be entirely preventable.

This cruel misuse of anti-terror laws is a shameful moment for the govt. It must act now.

The hunger strikers have been denied their right to communicate freely with their legal counsel, their pre-trial imprisonment & they’ve had severe restrictions placed on their detention. This must all end now.

None of these people have been found guilty of a crime. Yet some have been held in prison for up to 18 months, far exceeding the standard limit.

All because of the misuse of anti-terror laws.
