I've only had the chance to open a few of the boxes of my books that arrived in Seattle and then only to explore the topmost books, but already many lost treasures have resurfaced including this one that might be of particular interest to @celestialweasel.bsky.social and @nicholasroyle.bsky.social

I am pretty sure I bought this in Brighton, so it must have been some time between the summer of 2010 and October 2014 when I did the @arvonfoundation.bsky.social sf course at Totleigh Barton

Yes, foundation models are definitely nothing at all like human brains in terms of either hardware or software. It would be interesting to revisit John von Neumann's 1958 book "The Computer and the Brain" in light of current developments. I read that book back in ~2000, but it's in my Brentford unit
