Cupping doesn’t result in more blood flow to muscles. It causes rupture of superficial blood vessels and pooling of blood near the skin surface that can be seen with the naked eye. It’s a hickey, which is just a bruise. The experience is theater. Any subjective improvement is a non-specific effect.
