Yeah they finally figured out how to make a fucking video game. It has checkpoints, it has good animations, and the controls don’t feel like shit. The only problem I have is how flying is up and not mashing the jump button that’s it.

Gaming feels different than other entertainment mediums atm. Like someone who hates metal, probably wont listen to metal and thats all, no reason to lose your shit. With gaming it feels like everyone who hates metal is listining to metal and wont shut up how much they hate metal.

It is I hope the combat and quest design is enough to carry it. I do like the ambition in the mechanics but this is getting really close to being an everything game in a bad way.

Opinion is worth less. Easy mode is fine if the devs include it. But skipping gameplay sections is a terrible idea. To expose my self a bit here I dropped hollow knight extremely fast when I found out I would have to do a run back to a boss that’s a pet peeve of mine so I dropped the game.

Uh abandoning things that don’t click with you is cool. Everyone does it. My stance is about skipping content. If you skip chapters in a book skip over scenes in a movie or autoplay a game. You are not receiving the intended experience. It literally means you do not care about the art. Hence the

To be fair it was probably one of the best narratives video games at the time. Video game narratives are pretty shit most of the time with terrible dialogue even now.
