Gaming feels different than other entertainment mediums atm. Like someone who hates metal, probably wont listen to metal and thats all, no reason to lose your shit. With gaming it feels like everyone who hates metal is listining to metal and wont shut up how much they hate metal.

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug people will actually only experience or reexperience and not try anything new if it’s past their childhoods. I hope I never become like that because that seems like such a boring way to live imo. If you love a medium experience the new stuff in that medium.

At least on ps5 this statement is false most ps5 games run off the disc. This has been the case for the entire gen. I don’t know why people spread this misinformation like every game is doing it. They are not. Stop normalizing it.
A lot of PS5 and Xbox Series games also have to have an internet connection to fully install. This is nothing new. It's still a much better choice than a code in a box. These are still swappable and sellable.

Dispatch is really good more of a choose your own adventure story but the management gamplay is still really fun

The only reason you would not be able to tell is if you literally don’t play games in 60fps or above. 60 vs 120 I can understand but the gap between 30 and 60 is huge visually and in game feel.

I mean those videos exist because the girlfriend doesn’t play video games or only plays a very small admonition of games. So as someone who engaged to someone who doesn’t play much besides halo and subnatica the titles are earned lol.
The whole idea of “Girlfriend plays x game!” is so unbelievably absurd in the worst kind of way. As if “girlfriends” aren’t the type of people to play or like video games or could possibly be a gamer due to their relationship title/identity.

Call me a hater but I think all these mario-donkey-sonic games don’t belong on awards anymore. We should let them be for good and give space for new games that provide real value instead of cheap nostalgia that is not even satisfying or creative anymore, just dusty and repetitive. I know this may sound weird for people who aren’t big sonic fans. But we are so fucking happy to get new stages that show more of Sonic’s world. The museum stage has a lot of references the series and a lot of the other stages are like that or just completely new stuff. We are so tired of rehashing
As I'm playing through it more, a lot of these tracks feel like they could've been themed around any of the other Sega IPs like All-Stars Racing (Transformed) did, but I look up what they're based on, and I see "this is an original track" like...okay, that's weird for on two accounts:
Well I grabbed the Sonic racing game since it was on sale. I enjoy it, but my earlier complaints still linger. The non-Sonic characters being silent is sad, like a cheap licensed tie-in game would do. All the IRL licensed advertising isn't helping. And I think I just want another "All-Stars" game.

Holy shit they mean on normal sales. Nintendo games are full priced most of the year and then only some of there games get put on sale for a few weeks. Has anyone ever heard of hyperbole. Normal games go on sale most of the year or just go down in price. Nintendo doesn’t.
I don't understand people who say "Nintendo never puts their games on sale". As I'm writing this, Luigi's Mansion 3, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Splatoon 3, and a few others are on sale. All major first party Nintendo games.
