Nothing says "smash the political establishment" quite like begging the Prime Minister to put your mates in the unelected House of Lords.

What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

Re Tommy Robinson's 13.12 Christmas event, I'm really confused. I thought Christmas had been cancelled by the Winterval-loving "woke brigade" and that you weren't allowed to even say the word "Christmas", let alone have a mass gathering to celebrate the event, for fear of offending minority groups.

Anyone noticed how UK media is a lot less obsessed with Farage’s alleged antisemitism than Corbyn’s alleged antisemitism?

Odd that.

Dubai immigrant, Isabel Oakeshott, whines that Farage got nothing from his deal with the Tories last time, so why should he do that again.

Christ. The whining victimhood of these spoiled brats. Squabbling over power, while the rest of us live with the mess they’ve made of our country and our lives.

Every year we treat ourselves to a new decoration or two for the Christmas tree and this year’s additions are just absolutely outstanding

Tempted to not add anything else as we basically have a muppet Christmas tree

It is just incredible that the people who always go on about immigration and muslims and sharia law in Britain are the first to promote British immigration into a muslim country with sharia law.

So the mean-spirited bigots are now protesting against asylum seekers learning English. I wish these spiteful morons would make up their minds. I thought they wanted newcomers to integrate? And so much for the Christianity they're always banging on about. Their behaviour is anything but Christian.

"It's all the RW media's fault".

No. All the right wing media have done is gorge themselves silly on the endless feast of failure Labour laid out for them.

You're right that the RW media would have found fault regardless, but in this case they had just cause to do so a thousand times over.

As we move into “foreigners are cancelling Christmas in the name of political correctness” season it’s worth remember that Christmas was indeed once banned in England, by Christians and the man who enforced the ban has a statue in his honour outside the Houses of Parliament.

Frying planet. Wars, including in Gaza and Ukraine to name a few. Trump. Billionaire takeover. Meanwhile, Reform UK is fretting over....Christmas dinner. I presume they want a "turkey consumption police force"? Yet they moan about the nanny state.

What is it about the Home Office?
Mahmood is beginning to sound just like Patel & Braverman.

Getting so sick of Labour Ministers trying to out-Tory the Tories, trying to out-Reform Reform.

Wasn't the whole point of electing them to see the change they promised?

Just discovered the Russell Brand accuses Penelope Keith of assassinating JFK (never expected to see these 3 names in 1 sentence😄) story. File under "You learn a new thing every day." And if that thing raises a chuckle on a dismal November morning in these crazy times, so much the better. 😄
