The lands of Indus
rich habitable meadows
burned for a message
vengeance of Ophiuchus

each poem
a beacon flashing
a message
into the darkness

Old Auriga’s shop
lined with new sun chariots
drawing pure wonder
« One must be prepared, » he said,
« underneath ecliptic light! »

Seagazing, I wonder. These sparkles must be telling secrets.

Nah, Beach Crow says. The sea whispers her lickle myths into shells. All about moons & stars & comets.

But that's how most water began. As comet ice flying through space.

Cor, says Beach Crow. That's why she's full of sky.

The four gold charmers
could not hold up Virgo's scales.
They fell to the ground,
crushed by the weight of justice.
Every automaton stalled.

Goddess Astraea
there was once justice on earth
before your absence
now the sky rains heavy tears
a void in all hearts—open

Beach Crow's crawking morning augurs at we passersby.

'Yer secret power's tea-making, pal. Savvy well the many milks.

Beware a dark doorway wiv stone dragons. Trip hazard, innit.

Today's a voyage thru time, luv. Mainly ten past three.'

On we hurry, feather tickles in our minds.

A photograph taken from my mobile phone. This was in the middle of the night after quite the storm. The trees had fallen silent as the wind departed for other areas to howl at. The moon, high in the night sky - and surrounded by high cloud - peered at me, unblinking.

I am here on this plane of existence, and without my person. Grief doesn't go away - it changes, and deepens, and still has a tendency to catch you off guard with its sudden sharpness.
