The government has announced a competition for a Town of Culture. Collectively, our towns of Margate Broadstairs and Ramsgate have so much cultural capital. I will work with everyone locally to make a successful bid for this.

The Tories wanted to allow hospitality staff to be harassed by customers. I argued against it. More than 40% of workers in Ramsgate work in hospitality: double the national average. They deserve protection. This is the Queen Vic clause in honour of Peggy Mitchell.
