I’ve had them all, as had my husband. He generally has a day where he stays in bed with general malaise after his vaccines, but he’d rather suffer a few minor aches and pains for a day than risk long COVID or death.

I had a shotgun wedding that resulted in a marriage that lasted for 15 strife-filled, tumultuous years. There is no doubt in my mind that had I raised my daughter as a single parent, her life would have been so much more peaceful and well-adjusted. Two parent families aren’t always better.

The solution would have been to not vote for a president who will do nothing but create long term chaos. Oh, but the Dems are all a bunch of Commies, says the guy living off government handouts.

It’s difficult just to get an opportunity to take the citizenship test. My friend, a highly educated professional, came here on asylum from Medellin as an infant, his family escaping the drug wars. He’s still waiting for his chance. This had to be heart wrenching for these people who were so close.

The question must be asked: How’s he profiting from this? After all, that’s his motivation for anything he does.

I already know the answer to your question: Because he is profiting from the deal.

AOC introduced articles of impeachment against both of them last year. Not sure what happened with that, but I assume it went nowhere with the current legislature; however, she needs to circle back to this again after the midterms.

Let us not forget to add the storming of palaces, imprisonment, guillotines.

I loathe everything about Trump. While nothing he says shocks me, as a woman who struggled with my weight in the past, the fact that he, who is supposed to be in a respected position, did this to a woman publicly, made my soul wither a bit on her behalf. It seemed offhand, but was a gutting gesture.

If we took money out of politics, this would be a nonissue. As long as CU & current election finance laws stand, it’d be almost impossible for the person running for the highest offices to avoid wooing billionaires. They did it in a NYC mayoral election, but in a national election, it’s not likely.

I was raised in the Methodist church (now lapsed), and have never heard of these dispensations. These were possibly beliefs held by the extremist evangelicals (the same who believe in the Prosperity Doctrine)—folks we kind of viewed as nutters. I suppose they’ve hijacked all of Protestantism now?

More than acting skills, James Dean had a persona that was years ahead of his time. He was way more than an actor. He was a once in a lifetime icon.

Somebody might need to tell him, but the “prejudgment” ship’s already sailed.

I can never eat on Thanksgiving either. Leftovers are the best! Try putting a dollop of turkey, dressing & cranberry sauce in an egg roll wrapper, frying it, then dunking in gravy. Even better, put it on bread, batter dip, pan fry, sprinkle with confectioners sugar, and enjoy the best Monte Cristo!

There’s a reason the word “moron” is in “oxymoron”. Whoever came up with the word must have known someone like Trump.

Honestly, I wavered as to whether or not I thought Putin belongs at the top of this list, because he pretty much controls Trump, and he’s much smarter. Then I came to the conclusion that Trump belongs at the top of the list BECAUSE he’s not that smart.

The govt isn’t concerned about what’s best for society. All they care about is appeasing large donors, sticking to their talking points of not taking your tax dollars to fund welfare queens, & lining their own pockets. Until CU is overturned, we’ll keep paying more, while getting sicker and sicker.

Some form of socialized medicine is actually the most fiscally responsible and most “conservative” thing they could do, with the exception of just letting people die, which ultimately might be their long term plan.

Weight loss drugs have recently been removed from Medicare’s formulary, which makes absolutely no sense at all. Funding these alone would cut costs dramatically on a host of other chronic diseases, & make for a more productive society.

A couple of the right’s talking points about why Universal Healthcare is bad, is lack of choice and wait time. I’m not sure if they’ve tried to book any non-emergency appointments lately, but if you want a specific doctor, and if you’re not dying, you’re going to wait, then pay out the nose for it.

Treason. Curiously, when you research the punishment for Treason, it says “death or imprisonment of at least five years.” Um. That’s quite the discrepancy; though, with Trump, there is one choice that stands out above the other.

There should be zero tolerance of violence — of any kind.

Apparently they are quoting Walmart, who #1, is full of shit, and #2, why is Walmart still sucking up to Trump by saying this when he’s done everything he can to destroy them with his tariffs? I probably spent $300+ on Thanksgiving this year for 16 people. Cheap, my ass.
