NOTHING is functionally sustainable as long as Citizens United stands. It allows those at the top to have a disproportionate influence in our government, which affects everything in our lives, from our healthcare, education, transportation, safety, basic human rights, as well as the economy.

If the #NoKings rallies taught us nothing more, it showed that we are here for our country. Is Democratic leadership just as committed? Send out your Bernies, your AOC’s, your Jasmine Crocketts…your “real” people who are charismatic, relatable, & genuine. The key is to do SOMETHING to get the message to the people. Everyone wants what we’re selling. They just don’t know it because no one has told them what it is.

My great-grandmother lived in the poorest county in one of the poorest states: McDowell County, WV. She had pictures of JFK and Jesus on her wall. West Virginians still talk about the tour JFK & RFK made when campaigning in 1960.

Republicans know how to market themselves to get people to vote against their best interests. If Democrats just TRY, they could win. The message can’t be an attack on Republican’s, specifically Trump’s, values. They see it an attack on them personally. Dems need to show them what they can offer.
