@elizabethjacobs.bsky.social Why exactly are you surprised that people think it’s wrong to medically abuse children? It’s not, and if you won’t get them vaccinated, then you’re unqualified to be a parent and that’s putting it lightly.

Do Revenge, directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.

A 2022 team comedy inspired by classics such as Cruel Intentions, 10 Things I Hate About You, and Mean Girls that is both funnier and smarter than it has any right to be and is endlessly quotable. Unironically phenomenal plot twist as well.

In light of the news today, I’m gonna roll with this entire trilogy.

Yes, all three of them.

I am not interested in discourse. I am right.

Rey Skywalker matters to me because I too used to feel alone before learning some hard truths about my blood family that only made me feel worse. Her story is one of discovering that you don’t have to be who others tell you to be, or even what you were born to be. We can choose to be better.

I typically favor more grounded and serious minded James Bond films like On Her Majesty’s Secret Service or License to Kill. But the ultimate exception is Moonraker. This movie is absolutely insane and I have such a soft spot for it.

And just look at this poster! ART!!

I get everyone loves to hate on popular things, but come on. It looks pretty fucking faithfully drawn to me. At least go back and rewatch the original scene before making allegations like this.

Few shows have ended on as high a note as Stranger Things. This was a truly magical show every bit as delightful, memorable, and heartfelt as the iconic art and era that inspired it. I can’t imagine ever seeing anything else like it.

But then again - stranger things have happened.

To try and look at it in a more positive way, I think it speaks volumes about just how high of a bar Metroid as a brand has set for itself if Beyond is considered a lesser entry.

Second rate Metroid is still first class gaming.

The worst one I ever experienced was about a month after my marriage ended and Xfinity had the audacity to throw this in my face.

The World is Not Enough is a Christmas movie. Furthermore, Christmas Jones is a fun character and Denise Richard’s gives the exact performance the character required - campy, which as an actor she excels at. You all are just haters.

Not a word of that is true. It has been denied that they had to scrap anything and they didn’t even have directors assigned of the project until December of last year. If you keep scrolling on this very Wikipedia page, you’ll see that the voice actors didn’t even start recording until 2025.

I’m gonna roll with Charli xcx in 100 Nights of Hero. Is this actually the best performance in under 10 minutes? Probably not. But as you may have noticed if you see my responses to these prompts, I will simp for this absolute goddess at every possible opportunity. 💚😎

This moment from The Secret of NIMH (1982) has lived rent free in my head since I was eight years old. Looking back I think I base my entire world view on this exchange and dialogue.

I’ve talked a lot these last 24 hours about A Few Good Men, so instead, I’m gonna roll with Wild Things.

One of the most insane movies I’ve ever seen. Something that has to be seen to be believed. In some ways ahead of its time and yet something that could never be made today.

Red Dawn is quite possibly the most blatant Reaganite, gun fetishist, Cold War era, pro American imperialism propaganda ever put a film, but unlike modern Republican propaganda, this movie has the decency to be brilliantly made.

I know it’s deeply problematic, but honestly I kind of love it.
