I remember people deciding they hated Three Hopes the instant the trailer dropped and then instead of playing the game just watched let’s play on YouTube looking for their opinion to be validated, interpreting every aspect of the game in bad faith.

I’m sorry, but “fuck the Empire” would not have been an improvement. And frankly it would’ve taken me right out of the show and ruined the scene by making it hard to take seriously. “Fight the Empire” works because it’s an actual call to action.

It also speaks to a much larger problem about how in the age of streaming shows aren’t really allowed to find their audience. Anything that’s not an immediate hit is canceled after one season to the point that it’s a part of Netflix is brand now. I can’t imagine how much we’re losing because of it.
This quote made me think about how so many accused her of not being a SW fan. If they had actually watched the show, they would see how wrong they were. The show was drenced in lore, and it deserved a chance to find its audience.
