NASA’s Parker Solar Probe Observes Interstellar Comet 3I/ATLAS

The images offer a valuable look at the comet over a period when it couldn’t be seen from Earth because it appeared too close to the Sun from Earth’s perspective.

A microscopic particle of asteroid Bennu, brought to Earth by NASA’s OSIRIS-REx mission, is manipulated under a transmission electron microscope. Researchers first reinforced it with thin strips of platinum (the “L” shape) then welded a tungsten microneedle to it. 🧪🔭

Awesome: new selfie captured by Percy, portrayed with the rim of Jezero Crater at her back. Since summer 2024, the rover has ascended and traversed the crater rim and is now set to explore the plains to its west. What a journey!
