Probably old enough to be your mom. Refuses to act like it. | It's okay. I think I'm weird and off-putting too.

Be kind to each other, you fucks.

Gee sis. How come your mom lets you have two operating systems?

You got me there. I'm lazy and just use a pre-packaged one.

If you can’t spend weeks tweaking your configuration files, is it really YOUR editor?

Believe it or not—straight to Recycle Bin.

Next time we buy a TV, I’m just going to suck it up and spend the extra for a “commercial display” without all the garbage.

We’ve got a Vizio “smart” TV and despite probably being one of the less intrusive units I’ve seen, I still hate the weird glitches that come with the “smarts”.

Perhaps the worst thing is letting it be too smart. I find myself in a state of “automated feature creep” where it tries to be clever and do all kinds of stuff I hadn’t thought about initially, but that ultimately produces spaghetti.

It’s spicy autocomplete. A rubber ducky that talks back. A force multiplier.

But not magic. People need to stop treating it like magic.

It can be super useful if you go in with a proper concept and thoroughly describe what you want. Huge difference between “write a program that does <x>” and “build a function for this section that takes <x, y, z> inputs, performs <a, b, c> manipulations on it, and returns the product.”

Can I get the cute little vulpera decoration you have sitting at the table? :3
