The good news and the bad news is that Blalock bought his own card, so there's no chance of getting it.

It's so annoying that this is his only Brewers card!

I actually got the idea from a reddit post in that sub, there's another guy who did a slightly different version of this. (All Brewers players but any card regardless of team designation). With it being the off season, I might post this screenshot to see what I can drum up.

Cool, would love to get them if you have them!

Thanks, keep me posted!

I almost certainly won't be able to afford it when it is 😭

A few are on ebay, and are expensive and I just haven't been ready to pull the trigger. Those ones I will pick up in due time.

LaVel Freeman in 1987 hit .395 in Double-A ball, still the second highest average of all time in the minors. Despite that, he played one game for the Brewers in 1989, in which he had three ABs, striking out twice. He never played in the majors again.

He later succumbed to his mental illness and various addictions, commited heinous crimes, and hanged himself in 1980.

Dan Thomas may be the Brewers worst first round pick of all time, both as a player and morally. Called the "Sundown Kid", Thomas converted to a Christian movement that held the sabbath and refused to play from Friday evening until Saturday evening. He played twenty two games before being demoted.

Very interesting, I did not know that. Thank you for sharing!

Once I get a team card, I'm going to send it to him right before spring training and see if I can get one back.

This is a bit of a weird one, but yes. From what I can tell, he had never had an official card issued by a card manufacturer.

HOWEVER

There's two cards that I would call "ghost cards," with the only way to get them is to write Murph for a signature.

Jared Koenig, Nick Mears, and Grant Anderson are now the only players to appear in 2025 and have appeared in at least 50 Brewers games to not receive a card.
